Landcorp Farming is a State-owned Enterprise, owning or leasing 374,948 ha of land. With 105 properties and 1.5 million stock units, we are New Zealand’s largest farming operation.
Paeroa is located on Kokatewai Road in the Elsthorpe District, 50km south of Hastings. With an effective farmed area of 858ha, Paeroa runs 7800 su comprising 2800 ewes, 250 breeding cows, replacement females and approximately 400 weaner cattle destined primarily for local trade finishing. This is an excellent opportunity to develop the skills required to progress further as a Farm Manager in Landcorp.
The right candidate will have:
• Staff management and motivational skills
• Excellent pasture management skills
• Advanced technical skills
• Budgeting skills
• Computer literacy and a willingness to learn new systems
The Farm Manager is accountable to a Business Manager and has responsibility for recruitment and management of their own team.
The position includes a comfortable three bedroom home, close to recreational activities, primary school, and school buses.
