Description GRM International is a leading project management and implementation company with offices in Dubai, Johannesburg, London, Jakarta, Brisbane and Port Moresby. Due to an increasing demand from the private commercial agricultural sector within the United Arab Emirates, Oman and Northern Africa, GRM International is requesting expressions of interest for Corporate Farms Managers in the following areas of expertise -
• Wheat, Cereals, forage and other crops (irrigated and dryland)
• Livestock production and processing
• Large scale dairy production and processing
• Poultry
• Vegetable and fruit production (field, protected and hydroponics)


Purpose of Position:
Demand for a range of both long term and short term agricultural and agribusiness development and commercial projects has meant that we require farm managers that can demonstrate the following criteria:
Professional expertise-
• Capable, practical and technical farm managers
• Competent in establishing and running agricultural operations

Principal Responsibilities: (Include but not limited to)
The Farm Manager would be required to have the capability to:
• Implementation of all business and human and asset management plans
• Ensure the day to day management of the operations including staffing issues if required
• Meet all financial, environmental and company policies
• Professional and capable in all aspects of running a agricultural enterprise to deliver results demanded of a corporate board level
Authority Levels:
• Supervision of staff will be determined by the assigned project once finalised

Innovation-
• Ensuring the delivery of results while undertaking latest technology to ensure that sustainable and environmental agricultural practises are utilised

People-
• Liaise and build sound professional relationships with staff, clients and key stakeholders

Selection Criteria:
• Minimum undergraduate degree in agricultural science or equivalent - subject to countries visa requirements
• At least 5 years practical experience working in the agricultural industry with proven track record at management level and with proven results
• Previous practical experience working in an agricultural enterprise with development and implementation of business plans is advantageous
• High standard of written, verbal and computer communication skills
• Working in Middle East, Northern Africa or Arid countries is an advantage but not necessary
